Institutional Data, Effectiveness, & Analytics (IDEA)

About Us

The Office of Institutional Data, Effectiveness, and Analytics (IDEA) merges the Office of Institutional Research with the Business Intelligence Team. IDEA empowers data-informed decision-making at UCCS by collecting, analyzing, and sharing insights related to student success, enrollment management, institutional effectiveness, faculty productivity, student learning, and other key performance indicators. IDEA supports strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation by building scalable data systems, conducting exploratory and predictive analyses, and leading data governance efforts. The team is also responsible for federal, state, and system reporting, administering institutional surveys and course evaluations, and providing actionable data to campus stakeholders. Through this work, IDEA fosters a culture of evidence-based planning and continuous improvement aligned with institutional goals and trends in higher education.

IDEA is committed to being an accessible and collaborative campus partner. We aim to provide transparent, trustworthy data while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, privacy, and confidentiality. Our team works to ensure that data is both usable and responsibly shared, supporting faculty and staff in their efforts to improve programs, services, and student outcomes. We recognize the importance of context and care in data use and strive to make information clear, meaningful, and respectful of individual units and campus stakeholders.
